Running Time: 117m.

This first feature from Bosnian-born British filmmaker Jasmin Dizdar impresses with its ambitious structure and humanity. The multi-character narrative intertwines the lives of London residents grappling with, or surrendering to, the ethnic and political divisions of daily life. While fully confronting the prejudices and conflict that tear people apart, Dizdar manages to find humor in the seemingly grim reality. The film is also audacious in its visual style, carrying the viewer with visceral intensity. "The screen hums with the vital cacophony of daily life, and glows with the thick, bright colors of human emotion -- unspeakable pain, inexplicable loss and sheer, irrational pleasure at being alive" (A.O. Scott, The New York Times).
